Branded merchandise: Swagloop items that state a branding method, the usual 40 units per design and the rule for when to confirm

Branded merchandise is any item that carries your company's logo and goes to staff, clients or event guests. It works when the item gets used where people can see it, and it fails when the logo is the only reason it exists.

This guide covers what should carry your logo and how a branded order runs. The items below are from our catalogue of logo items. For the current price, open the product page or ask us for the catalogue.

Branded merchandise: what should carry your logo?

Put your logo on things people wear, carry or keep on a desk, because that's where other people see them. The table lists items whose product page or name mentions branding. It shows the method the page states, so you aren't guessing.

ItemWhat its page states
Round Neck Cotton T-shirtSuited for printing or branding
Premium A5 Hard Cover Spiral NotebookCustomisable cover for branding
Insulated Coffee Mug with BrandingBranding in the name only, so ask us for the method
UCB round neck T-shirtLogo printing or embroidery
Adidas Poly-Cotton Polo Neck T-ShirtLogo embroidery
Juxar Varsity JacketEmbroidered patches, names and logos

We usually work with 40 units per design. If you need fewer, tell us and we'll work something out. Each item you add is its own design, so count heads item by item when an order mixes staff and clients.

These are only the items that say so on the page. Our comparison of every type of gift item shows the wider range, and we'll tell you what each one takes if you ask.

What do the product pages actually say?

The product pages are specific, and it's worth reading the exact line before you plan. The UCB tee says "Customisable with logo printing or embroidery for corporate use". The varsity jacket says "Customisable with embroidered patches, names, and logos".

Don't assume a known label takes your logo just because it's on the list. The Adidas polo above states logo embroidery, but other polos from known brands don't, so check the page first.

What if the item can't take a logo?

Brand the box instead. Three of our packaging options state custom printing or a logo, and a printed box does the job when the item itself has no good spot.

Here's the maths on a tee. About 350 UCB tees at around ₹600 a head comes to about ₹2 lakh. In the Top-Down Printed Box, the same 350 come to around ₹950 a head, which is about ₹3.3 lakh. Both leave out GST, branding and shipping.

For a team that wears the shirt to the office, I'd skip the box, because the logo is already on the shirt.

How a branded order runs on Swagloop

A branded order runs in five steps, and the clock starts when you approve the artwork. Our guide to how printing and embroidery work covers the methods, and these are the steps around them.

  1. You send the logo and the numbers. Tell us the item, the quantity and where the logo should go.
  2. We send a proof. We send a proof or order summary for you to approve before production starts.
  3. You check it and approve. Check the proof line by line before you approve it. Confirmation means you've confirmed the order and approved the artwork.
  4. We ship. Orders ship within 12 to 14 working days of order confirmation. After dispatch, allow up to 3 working days in Delhi NCR and up to 6 working days elsewhere in India.
  5. You get the invoice. Every order comes with a GST invoice.

Work back from the day you need the items. Confirm your order and artwork at least 5 weeks before the gifts must arrive, or 6 weeks if those weeks include 24 December to 3 January. Our team takes a year-end break, and nothing ships in that window.

For the North East, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and the islands, ask us for a date first. On apparel, ask us about sizes before you fix your numbers.

Questions buyers ask

What is branded merchandise called?

You'll also see it called promotional merchandise, corporate merchandise or company swag. They mean much the same thing, so if you've been looking for corporate swag ideas, this is that list.

What are some useful ideas for branded merchandise?

Start with what a person uses every week: a T-shirt, a notebook, a mug or a jacket. For new joiners, a set works better than one item, and our welcome kit ideas show how to build one.

What are the best-selling merchandise items?

We don't publish a sales ranking, so we can't honestly name one. Choose by where the item will be seen, not by what sold elsewhere. If you're ordering for a very large team, our guide to large merchandise runs covers what changes at that size.

Pick one item from the catalogue, then send us your logo and quantity, and we'll send a proof for you to check.
